Elon Baptist Church Messages
- Elon Ruritan Club, along with AARP, are sponsoring a food drive at the Club building all day on September 11th. Bring canned and non-perishable food items to be shared with those less fortunate. It will be greatly appreciated!
- We need your "Memories", for the upcoming "Youth/Centrifuge Fundraiser". The Youth are seeking memories from the 50's and 60's to be used as part of the September 11th "1950/1960's Diner Dinner and Show". So, if you have any memories from that time frame, and willing to share them, please do so and then make plans to be there to enjoy the food, fun, fellowship and entertainment. Word has it that the King himself, ELVIS, will be in the house that night!
- Make plans for being part of this years Homecoming and Revival services, September 19th - 23rd. Each service will have a different speaker and each speaker will be a pastor that grew up and was saved in our church or one of our community churches. It is sure to be an exciting time to see them and here how God worked in their lives to bring them to accept Jesus and to enter the ministry as pastors!
- Note: It was voted at the last Business Meeting to start a Fund for collecting money toward a "Play Set" for the church. Most churches have some type of Swing Set or Playground for their little ones and we want to have one for ours. However, please keep in mind, when you give to funds such as this it should be an extra gift and not used as your tithe or regular offering.
- Reminder, as you go to God in your prayers, remember to pray for your church. Pray that it will continue to grow and be the "Beacon on the Hill" in our community, as we spread the Good News of Jesus!
- Reminder, After the recent rains we have gotten, the grass is, once again, growing, and growing fast. We could really use your help, so that the same folks don't have to cut it over and over. The list for grass cutting is on the board in the Fellowship Hall and has many empty, (i.e. available), time slots. If you are able to help in the effort to keep our church yard groomed, we'd really appreciate it!
God Bless you!
