Meet PaSTOR CODY BINGHAM

Cody grew up in the Lynchburg area where he attended Liberty Christian Academy and Liberty University. He was heavily involved in Liberty's track and field team, competing in the decathlon, when he met his now wife, Carylynne. They married in 2014 and Cody graduated with a Pastoral Leadership degree in 2015. After moving to Abilene, Texas to pursue coaching track and field, Cody was soon called by South Side Baptist Church to serve full-time on their pastoral staff in the college, men's, and missions ministries.

After serving for four wonderful and fruitful years at South Side, the Bingham's were called by God back to Lynchburg where Cody taught at Liberty Christian Academy for a year and later called by Elon Baptist Church to serve as the lead pastor in 2023. Cody and Carylynne have three children, Gabriel, Lyla, and Natalie.

Cody also has a masters degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and loves reading, talking about the Bible, playing with his kids, working outside in the yard, and writing.
